What is it about me that you love? So many times I stood at the door Swearing it was the last time I didn’t pass the threshold Communication is falling apart I know I may be choosing again to disregard What is it about me that you love, When words are washed up by your wish to change it all? Is that love that floats in your eyes when you watch my ego sink and my bursting into cries? What is it about me that you love? So many times you were out of control Perhaps I should have never let my nature unfold For you, I’d always be the one to blame For daring to claim a place in a dream’s losing game What is it about me that you love, When you are standing somewhere between a friend and a foe? Is that love inscribed in your eyes, When you open fire and make me conjure the skies? What is it about me that you love? Too many times I stood at the door This is the last of all the last times that I won’t go.

UNDER SKIN In his laughter I throw my heart again There I blow myself apart again I am reaching in his throat for my life I put scars along my way with my knife Oh, in this rusty place, out of space I heard that windy chime, out of time Hexed me and locked me in your spin Like a will, deadly sin, love for kill, under skin Every breath drifts me along to his chest Where his pain and I go up against I could reach up close enough to his soul We are forced out with a blow, he felt whole Oh, in this rusty place, out of space I heard that windy chime, out of time Hexed me and locked me in your spin Like a will, deadly sin, love for kill, under skin

Fame and Gold I’ll take the risk, made up my mind There’s a chance I’ll find some peace Who’s there to judge what I’ll become “Life” would never speak through any mouthpiece There is no tick tack or tock tock that could sync my deeds with time if it were, I’d crush it down choosing to live out of the ordinary Maybe… I’ll find my way Walking across on a circus tight rope Maybe… I’ll stumble and fall Wasting nothing more than vague hopes May it be… It would still worth more than fame and gold Don’t teach me to be somebody else Don’t wanna share your hypocrisy I can’t withdraw my heart from life Instead, I’ll keep on dancing in uncertainty There’s nothing to be afraid of, nothing more than regret Still, I’d rather be proud me Than addicted to a safe net Maybe… I’ll find my way Walking across on a circus tight rope Maybe… I’ll stumble and fall Wasting nothing more than vague hopes May it be… It would still worth more than fame and gold

about

Marva Von Theo have performed three songs from their Debut Album “Dream within a Dream” in a new, reimagined, electroacoustic version, that resonates with the elegant, cold brutality of D.Tragkas‘ Art. This Session was filmed and recorded at D.Tragkas' Atelier in June 2019 and marks MVT's final "Dream" as they will be releasing new music soon.
